New gigs added to calendar! The "Revealed" EP is one step away from printing so it should be at your reach in no time. We are keeping the fingers crossed for it to be ready on 4.4. gig in Kuudes Linja. We'll see, it's a close call. The gig is a Bianca-Pop Music collection CD release party with few bands on stage, so the sets per band will be a bit shorter. Tinker also features on this collection CD.

3 new songs added to Tinker site in myspace.com (link on the left). These are demo songs we recorded last month. The "official" EP schedule is finally clearing up. The mastering session wil take place 7.3. so maybe a couple of weeks after that we should have it printed on CD!

Last Saturday @ Virgin Oil Co. was a magical night for us! Thanks so much for being there and supporting Tinker! About the EP status: so it’s really now _almost_finished_ –meaning a few knob turns with the mixing, then it’s ready for mastering and printing.. hopefully not too long, a few weeks perhaps? Oookey then, this has definitely been the longest update break ever on Tinker website. As you also may have noticed we haven't been doing any gigs recently either. BUT naturally there's a good reason for neglecting you guys (…or can I still say fans?)! So, we haven't split up or anything like that, we've just been having some 'quality time' in studio.. okay we've been really lazy, sorry. But now we’re about to break out of the studio and rehearsal room, as the promo-EP (or something) seems actually to be finished soon. Lauri (the world-class-producer-man) has gone through hell and back with us. At first trying to get some decent tracks out of us, and then the recent couple of months editing and mixing those million tracks (...well, almost). Lots of technical studio issues that took several full working days to come by.. So, Lauri, official tremendous respect! Still some work to do. Let’s hope this huge work turns out to be worthwhile… somehow. What will actually happen with this recording is a bit uncertain still. For sure it will be “The Promo of Tinker Music”, and we will make everything possible to it out there for the right people… and of course to YOU! Still no gigs booked, but after the EP is finished we really gotta straighten up and get out there! So, hopefully, seee u sooon.
By the way you can find Tinker also in MySpace.com (see the link on the left). It’s some kind of must for bands these days, I guess.

Now that we started it let's get it all out! Two more demo songs added for downloading. They were not ment to be published at all when we recorded them, but since we are playing them live it's probebly nicer if you have a change to listen to them before the gig, right? Well it's been a while since the last update. I thought I added some more pics - the most recent and some REALLY old ones from the early dates of Tinker. There's something like 50 pics added - Check 'em out! Also, since the recordings seem to take reeeally long time we decided to make a quick mix of one new demo song we have been playing live... Actually it starts with a short "intro", followed byt his song called "Something About Me". Download in the 'music' page! Note: this is just a demo, so it sounds like one and has NOTHING to do with the recordings we are working on now with Lauri...

No news is good news, but even better news is that Tinker is getting on stage to celebrate a new year 2006! Friday 13.1. to be exact. And it’s not just any gig; it’ll be in a brand new place called “Kuudes linja”. For what I’ve heard it should be a really decent place for live shows… It’s not confirmed if there will be other band(s) as well, or if Tinker will be “The Act”. So mark your calendars!

Headline news: "Jani Wickholm steals Tinker’s bassist!"
Well at least for one gig. Yes, it seems Topi won’t be able to do the gig at Alahuone 11.11. but no worries, the gig is not cancelled. Lauri "the producer man" will be there rocking the bass with Tinker. By the way, if you wish to see Topi on stage that day rather than Tinker you can go to Kokkola, Hotelli Kaarle, he’ll be there playing with Jani W. :-)

Check out the new pics... So Tinker has started recording a new four-song EP. Drum recordings took place at Mimix Studio, in Espoo . The rest will be recorded elsewhere during the late fall. What makes this recording special compared to the previous ones is that this time we are getting some professional help throughout the process! The man behind the wheel is Lauri “Lade” Hämäläinen, who seems to be eager to kick the best out of Tinker! Besides he’s emerging music producer career he’s also playing bass in several top finnish acts, one of them is Kemopetrol – check out Lauri’s file from their website. We'll try put up some "studio diary" here for you to follow up the recordings, yeah wouldn't that be cool!
Also at this point it is a good time to announce changes in the Tinker line. I am truly, deeply very sorry to announce that Ben will not be seen on stage with Tinker anymore, or at least at for now. I'm not gonna go into details about this matter, but all I'm saying is that I think he did a great job and gave Tinker a great contribution in many ways…
So, what this means is that in order to continue rockin' we had to find us a new bassist. We didn't have go far searching, 'cause the first one we asked agreed immediately (for some reason?). Now may we introduce a new member in Tinker… a man already seen ones on stage with Tinker… in Tavastia 11/2003… A modest man who's fingers turn those four thick strings to golden tones… highly talented …………………………………………………………….
Mr. Topsy Turlington!!!! Okay, let's just call him Topi from now on ;) You’ll see him on Tinker’s next gig in Bar Alahuone 11.11.

Tinker is still kinda hiding out, but we do have one gig scheduled now for the autumn! Before that, we'll hit the studio and start recording a brand new EP, which will hopefully hit the stores late this year(?). Let's see.

Hello friends, it's been a while. Again we recorded some new material just for our own fun :) So nothing you would hear any time soon, 'cause we like to be introverts with our music. So now that there are no critics to tell otherwise, we can easily consider this the best Tinker recording ever! Okay, to tell you the truth I'm dying to get some "real" recording out there for you to decide if it's good or great or not so (so-not). But also we want it to be good.. better.. in every respect. In which we will need a real studio, time, money (or a record label ) … actually what it really takes is the decision to DO IT, and stop whining :) And, yea, we’ll do it... some time soon (?) But of course you can come and check the new material out on gigs. Next time in Helsinki we’ll be playing on 3.6. in Bar Alahuone (check the gig calendar for more). Oops, a little bit of opening out, but I decided to be honest with you. So don’t you forget about us.

Hellohello. FINALLY some new Tinker music for all you surfers out there! We just got two first songs ready and you can find them in the ‘music’ –page as mp3 files. The songs were recorded in different sessions (many months in between), so they sound quite different from each other. Now, just to clarify; we still got plenty of songs which just need a finishing touch before publishing. But we’ll add more stuff as soon as it’s ready. But that’s not all, ounou, the ‘old’ album is also now available as mp3’s in full length! Just start downloading. See you on gigs!

The thing is that we have lots of recorded, but not quite finalized stuff lying around at the moment. We just have to get a grip now and make something ready (enough). We'll see...
